The Bull Run Run 50 Mile is a 50 mile trail race held near Clifton, Virginia, at Hemlock Overlook Regional Park. The course traverses forested, rolling terrain and runs during the height of Virginia spring, with sections that meander through fields of bluebells. A contemporaneous 1861 map marks parts of the course and nearby historic sites.
The event is one of the older 50 mile races in the country. The course is described as accessible; the race uses a 13-hour time limit and a standard entry fee of $125. Entry opens on October 1, 2026 at 9:00 am. A high-water alternate course is available when conditions require.
