The Bull Run Run 50 Mile (BRR 50) is scheduled for April 4, 2026 and will be the 32nd running of the event. The race distance is 50 miles. The event takes place in Clifton, Virginia at Hemlock Overlook / Hemlock Regional Park (13269 Yates Ford Road, Clifton, VA 20124). Entry is priced at $125. Registration opens October 1, 2025. The race is open to ages 18 to 99 and uses a 13-hour time limit.

Course and services

The course is a trail route that runs within a linear park generally paralleling the Occoquan River and Bull Run in southern Fairfax County. The terrain is forested and rolling and is described as occurring during the height of spring. Parts of the course pass through large stands of bluebells. The event has a Civil War theme that references battles that took place in the area; historical maps mark the course area. The race is Trail Sisters approved and offers equal podiums and awards and provides menstrual products at aid stations. The event complies with the Virginia Happy Trails Running Club event participant medical policy and the club’s policy on race cancellation.
