Flagstaff Doggie Dash & BuffaLoops Ultra : Buffalo Park, Flagstaff, AZ

This event combines a dog-friendly 5k and fixed-time ultrarunning formats at Buffalo Park on May 24, 2026. Race options include multiple timed events where participants complete repeated loops of an outer two-mile course, plus a 5k that uses one larger loop and a shorter one-mile loop to finish.

Race options:

  • 12 hour fixed-time loop event
  • 6 hour fixed-time loop event
  • 3 hour fixed-time loop event
  • Doggie Dash 5k
  • Virtual Doggie Dash 5k with or without a dog

For the timed events, runners complete as many full two-mile loops as possible and change direction every two hours. Laps count only when a full loop is completed. Runners may leave the course but must re-enter at the same location and complete the lap in progress to be credited. Mid-race drop-downs are not allowed. Course etiquette asks groups to leave an inside channel open and for passing to occur on the outside.

A portion of registration fees will be donated to the High Country Humane Society. Additional features include a free kids race, raffle prizes, dog yoga, free professional photo downloads, race-specific merchandise, an aid station with basic supplies, a drop-bag area, and on-site medical coverage. Course maps will be emailed to participants before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
