The event is held at Fort Tuthill County Park in Flagstaff, AZ. Distances offered:

Races follow a 13K loop format (27K = two loops, 13K = one loop). The 6K uses a partial Soldiers Trail loop. Courses run above 7,000 ft, include mesa viewpoints with mountain views, and vary from narrow single track to wider forest paths.

Course services and event logistics

Aid stations are positioned regularly and provide water, an electrolyte drink (Gnarly Fuel-2O), sweet and salty snacks, and fruit. Pacers are permitted only for the final loop of the 50K; crews are allowed at the start/finish area only. Drop bags may be left at the start/finish and accessed on each loop. The event uses chip timing with results posted by gun time. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers at each distance; all finishers receive a branded campfire mug or a wooden Artworx finisher award. Festival-style tent camping and pre-setup tent and cot rentals are available near the start/finish. Medical staff are based at the start/finish area. Live split tracking is provided for the race.
