Flagstaff Extreme Big Pine Trail Runs

This event is the 11th annual Big Pine Trail Runs at Fort Tuthill County Park in Flagstaff, AZ, at 2446 Fort Tuthill Loop. Trails run through ponderosa pines above 7,000 ft and top out on a mesa with broad mountain views before returning into the trees. The course uses the Soldiers Trail and the Highlands Trail Loop; the 6K covers a partial Soldiers Trail loop.

The trail surface varies from narrow single track to wide, well maintained forest paths. Races follow a 13K loop structure: a 13K equals one loop and a 27K equals two loops. The 50K route leaves the park to Rogers Lake via Gold Digger and Two Spot Trails, returns through the start area around mile 23, and then continues for a final 13K loop. Pacers are permitted for the final 13Km segment. Maps, an aid station chart, and a GPX file are provided.

Online registration closes the Monday before the race and final registration closes Mon, Jun 15 at 11:59 PM MT. Late registration is available at packet pickup locations. Race entries are non refundable and non transferable. Festival style tent camping on course is available as an add on with pre setup tent and cot rentals; camping permits run from Friday 2 PM to Sunday 10 AM. A separate night run occurs the previous evening as part of the Insomniac Night Trail Run Series.
