Fire on the Rocks 10K

The Fire on the Rocks 10K is an intermediate level trail race held at Zindel Park in McElhattan, PA. The event is listed as a 10 km distance and the course covers about 6.6 miles with roughly 1,400 feet of climbing. The route uses local trails that are also used for the Frozen Snot and Boulder Beast events.

The course features multiple climbs and descents and follows a series of named trails and service roads, including Reservoir Road, Keller's Bench, Black Diamond, Change Up, Kammerdiner, Debbies Drop, Park Trail, Dug Road, Gorge Trail, Gut Check, Lightning Ridge, Final Cut, the spillway bridge and dam area, Creekside, the area around the Zindel house, Reservoir Road again, and the Durty Dabbers trail down to the finish.

Parking is at the Restless Oaks parking lot at 119 Pine Mountain Road in McElhattan. Shuttle buses run between the parking area and the start and finish locations, or participants may walk the half mile up Reservoir Road. Bib pickup takes place on race morning.
