Fire on the Rocks is a trail running event held at Zindel Park in McElhattan, PA, with the event base at the Durty Dabbers Pavilion. The course is listed as roughly 6.6 miles in length, which corresponds to the advertised 10K distance, and includes about 1400 feet of total climbing. The route is described as intermediate level with frequent climbs and descents.

The course uses local trails that are also used for the Frozen Snot and Boulder Beast events. Parking is provided at the Restless Oaks parking lot at 119 Pine Mountain Road with shuttle buses to the start area or an option to walk the roughly half mile up Reservoir Road.

Event policies specify that there are no refunds, no deferrals, no bib transfers, and no bandits. Post-race provisions include sticky buns and drinks at the pavilion.
