Fire on the Rocks 10K
The Fire on the Rocks 10K is scheduled for March 13, 2027 in McElhattan, PA and is organized by PA Trail Dogs. The event takes place at Zindel Park and is presented as a trail running race with a posted distance of 10 km and a course length of about 6.6 miles.
The course uses local trails that are also used for the Frozen Snot and Boulder Beast events. The route includes a mix of climbs and descents, with an expected total ascent of about 1,400 feet. Named segments on the route include Reservoir Road, Keller's Bench, Black Diamond, Gut Check, Lightning Ridge, Final Cut and the Durty Dabbers trail before the finish.
Parking is provided at the Restless Oaks parking lot, 119 Pine Mountain Rd, McElhattan, PA 17748. Shuttle buses will run between that lot and the start area, or participants may walk the roughly half mile up Reservoir Rd. Post race food and drinks such as sticky buns and beverages are planned to be available at the pavilion.
