The Escape from Folsom offers two trail distances on courses that run along Folsom Lake from Granite Beach in the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. Trails are described as scenic and covered in wildflowers, with multiple aid stations placed along the route.

Aid stations are located on the course at miles 1, 2.5, 3.5, 5, 7.5, and 9 and serve cold water, FLUID Electrolyte beverage, and CLIF Shot energy gels and Bloks. Listening devices such as MP3 players and headphones are allowed; runners must exercise caution when crossing roads and remain attentive on the trails.
Packet pickup is available race morning at the race site. Race shirts are available for pre-race purchase for $20. Every finisher in both events receives a custom finisher medal. Overall champion awards are presented to first place male and female in both the 5K and 10 mile races, and awards are given three deep in each ten-year age group for both distances.
TBF Racing maintains a no refund policy; requests before race week may receive a TBF race credit minus a $25 processing fee. Transfers between TBF events are allowed within one year for a $25 transfer fee. All events are held rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
