Enlightenment Mountain Run

The Enlightenment Mountain Run is a two-day trail running event at Angel Fire Resort in New Mexico. It is the first event in the Mountain Cap Trail Series.

The event offers two race options on a singletrack trail called the Enlightenment Trail. The course climbs roughly 2,000 feet to a summit with panoramic views of the Moreno Valley.

On Saturday, the Enlightenment Ascent is a 5-mile uphill-only race. Participants finish at the summit and can take a complimentary chairlift ride back down.

On Sunday, the 10-mile Mountain Classic race uses the same route. Runners ascend to the summit and then return down the same trail to the start/finish at the base of the Chile Express lift.

Race headquarters and packet pickup are located at the base of the lift. Angel Fire Resort offers various family-friendly activities, dining options, and discounted lodging for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
