Enchanted Forest Trail Races, Red River, New Mexico
The Enchanted Forest Trail Races take place in Red River, New Mexico, on July 25, 2026. Courses run on trails in the Carson National Forest and through the high alpine Enchanted Forest cross country ski area near the Sangre de Cristos. The event weekend includes community-focused post-race food, music and local microbrews in the town center.
Three race options are provided:
- 26.5 miles: 4000 ft elevation gain; low 8670 ft, high 10,480 ft
- 14.7 miles: 1600 ft elevation gain; low 8670 ft, high 10,200 ft
- 7.6 miles: 1400 ft elevation gain; low 8670 ft, high 10,480 ft
Entry fees are non-refundable and nontransferable. Entry fees include place winner awards, shirts or another race memento, aid station items, a finisher’s memento and post-race refreshments. Registration closes on Thursday, July 23 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time.
Listed pricing tiers include Early (until January 1), Standard (until June 1), Late and Race Weekend rates with varying fees by distance. The refund policy offers an 85% credit of the registration fee for cancellations made 30 days or more before the event, excluding UltraSignup fees; no refunds or credit are given for cancellations less than 30 days before the event.
