Sussex Coastal Trail Run

The Sussex Coastal Trail Run takes place in Eastbourne on 6 March 2027. The event offers four distance categories that follow coastal sections of the South Downs National Park near the Seven Sisters, with views over the English Channel.

The running surfaces include chalk and forest underfoot and the course is described as strenuous terrain with rolling downland and notable cliff sections. The event base is Helen Gardens in Eastbourne, from which routes run along the towns of Eastbourne and Seaford and the adjacent coastline of white chalk cliffs.

This event is part of the Endurancelife 2026-27 trail running season and contributors to the Season Leaderboard will receive points based on performance. Registered participants will be asked to complete an online check in roughly two weeks before the event; the process includes reviewing personal details such as an ICE contact and watching a mandatory event safety video.

Trail runs nearby

A mostly off-road 7.5 km trail loop around Westfield with marked and marshalled route, prizes, post-race tea and cake, and a 60-runner entry limit.

Beat The Tide 10k runs along Worthing and Lancing beaches with an aid station at 5 km, canicross welcome and on-site drinks and pizza at Perch on the Parade.

Off road half marathon in Henfield on 16 August 2026 with riverside and disused railway sections, flint paths and stiles; facilities include changing rooms and free parking.

About 52 miles across the South Downs National Park, a circular challenge from Plumpton Agricultural College visiting Lewes, Glynde and Alfriston with about 7,000 feet of ascent.
