This trail running event takes place in Bamburgh on 21 February 2026. The route follows the Northumberland coast through sand, dunes and exposed bayside terrain near Bamburgh Castle. The area includes multiple conservation sites and two National Nature Reserves within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Terrain is described as moderate with sand and dune sections.

The event uses a linear course and is the only linear course in the CTS series. Distances offered are:

  • 10K - 6.4 miles
  • Half Marathon - 13.1 miles
  • Marathon - 27.7 miles
  • Ultra - 35.9 miles

The event is part of the Endurancelife season and contributes points to the Season Leaderboard. Registered participants will be asked to check in online approximately three weeks before the event; the check-in process includes confirming a postal address for race numbers and viewing a mandatory event safety video.

Available on-site features and add-ons include optional coach transport to the start for some distances, all day parking at the finish, an event safety kit, and a short post-event massage service. Dogs are permitted on the coach transport. The event is fully marked, uses electronic timing, provides a finishers medal and an energy bar, and lists multiple on-site amenities. A classic 5.8-mile trail race tackling three hills near Wooler. The clockwise route ascends 1,200 feet past Brownslaw, Coldberry, and Humbleton Hills. It starts and finishes at The Cheviot Centre.

An ultra trail along the Northumberland coast from Bamburgh to Druridge Bay with two distances, 54 km and a new 27 km option. The route includes coastal landmarks, feed stations, mandatory kit requirements, and live chip timing.

A trail race featuring two ascents of Humbleton Hill. The 6.5-mile course includes 1500 feet of climb and is marked with flags. It starts and finishes at The Cheviot Centre in Wooler.

Trail runs around Alnwick Castle feature routes through Hulne Park and the Priory in two distances. The event uses live chip timing, includes a finisher medal and refreshments, and donates part of each entry to NE Youth.
