About the race

Endurancelife's Dorset event in Swanage on 5 December 2026 offers trail races along the Jurassic Coast Path, a World Heritage site designated in 2001. The terrain is classified as extreme and runs mainly on trail and grass.

Distances available include:

  • 10K : 6.5 miles, 774 ft ascent.
  • Half Marathon : 13.2 miles, 1,719 ft ascent.
  • Marathon : 26.2 miles, 3,736 ft ascent.
  • Ultra : 32.3 miles, 4,416 ft ascent.

Runners who complete any distance receive points that contribute to the Endurancelife 2026-27 season leaderboard. Participants are asked to check in online approximately two weeks before the event; the check-in process requires confirmation of personal details including an ICE contact and viewing a mandatory event safety video.

A 30 mile ultra run from Studland Bay around the Isle of Purbeck with about 4600 ft elevation. The guided coastal route uses the Purbeck Way and South West Coast Path and passes Corfe Castle, Kimmeridge Bay, Swanage and Old Harry Rocks.
