Event Overview

The Emerald Bay Trail Run is a trail running event that takes place on September 12, 2026. The course runs along the Rubicon Trail, starting at Eagle Point and finishing at Lester Beach in D.L. Bliss State Park. It is a point-to-point route of approximately 7 miles (11 km). The route is mostly single track and features moderate climbs and descents. The trail includes natural granite steps.

Event Features

The event includes an event T-shirt, a finishing medal, free digital race photos, recovery snacks and cold beverages, medical staff, and a shuttle service back to the start area after the finish. Parking is available at the Eagle Point Campground.

Registration

Standard registration costs $70.00 if completed by December 31, 2025, and $75.00 thereafter. Discounted rates are available for youth (18 and under) and seniors (65 and older) at $65.00 and $70.00 respectively. A 5K snowshoe walk and race at Camp Richardson in South Lake Tahoe on March 1, 2026. The machine groomed course crosses forest and mountain meadows and the event benefits Metavivor, a metastatic breast cancer organization.
