Elevate 5k & 12 Hour Race
The Elevate event takes place on Feb 12 to 13, 2027 at the First Baptist Church campus in Santa Maria, California. It comprises two events and benefits the Elevate missions project; all proceeds support that project.
Event distances:
- 5k: three loops of 1.036 miles each, totaling 3.1 miles
- 12 Hour Race: repeated 1 mile loops, timed 12 hour event
The 5k uses the looped course on the church and nearby campus. Volunteers will be positioned on the course and aid stations will provide water, Gatorade and bananas during the race. Finishers in the 5k receive celebratory ice cream sandwiches and awards will be presented by age group.
The 12 hour race runs on the same loop with a slight adjustment to make each lap one mile. Participants may take breaks, rest, and bring chairs, blankets, changes of clothing and other comfort items. A variety of hot and cold drinks and solid foods will be available overnight. There is no minimum distance required; the highest loop total determines the winner. Runners and walkers should have a headlamp or flashlight for portions of the loop that are not lit. 12 hour participants may also enter the 5k at no additional cost.
