Course and format
The course is a loop entirely on the First Baptist / VCA campus. The 5k is three loops of 1.036 miles each. For the 12 hour race each loop is adjusted to 1.0 mile. The 12 hour race is scored by completed loops; the participant with the most loops is the winner and there is no minimum distance required.
Facilities and race-day details
During the 5k the organizers will provide water, Gatorade and bananas, and finishers receive celebratory ice cream sandwiches. Twelve hour participants are offered a variety of hot and cold drinks and solid foods, and a dedicated area near the start/finish line is available for rest and gear. Volunteers will be positioned on the course during the 5k for safety. Parts of the 12 hour loop are unlit; participants should bring a headlamp or flashlight for the darker sections.
