Back On The Ranch Trail Run

Back On The Ranch is a multi-format trail running event held October 2–4, 2026 at Sand Creek Ranch in Los Olivos, California. The event is presented by AllWeDoIsRun and uses a single loop course for all time formats.

The course is a 3.4 mile loop with approximately 400 feet of vertical gain per lap. The surface is a mix of hard pack dirt road and soft single track, with about 95 percent dirt. Aid station support is available every 3.4 miles and at personal camp locations. Participants may camp within a few feet of the course; parking and camping are free and dispersed sites are available on a first come basis. Primitive tent camping, car camping, RVs, and trailers are allowed. No hookups and no running water are provided.

All participants receive a custom souvenir tee shirt and a custom finishers amulet. Awards are presented to the top male and female in each division. Western style trophy buckles are awarded for 100 mile finishers in the 24 hour and 48 hour formats. The ranch gate opens to participants on Thursday, October 1 and closes Sunday, October 4. The event policy states there are no refunds, transfers, or deferrals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
