The course uses 100% dirt trail and ranch roads and runs along West Cuesta Ridge and adjacent to Poly Canyon. The start and finish area is staged at the ranch barn. The event includes a well-marked course, fully stocked aid stations approximately every three miles with prepackaged foods, water and Hammer Nutrition products, a custom event tee shirt, awards for top male and female in each distance, and a custom award for all finishers.

The 10K is one loop, the 20K is two loops and the 30K is three loops. Cutoff time is three hours per loop. For the 10K loop the listed elevation change is about +2,000 ft and -2,002 ft, with average slopes near +10% and -12%.

Onsite camping is available Friday, January 23, 2026 for $20 per vehicle; this fee includes Friday night camping and Saturday onsite parking. Camping is primitive and dry, first-come with no reservations; portable and fixed restrooms are provided and open fires are not permitted.
