About the race
The Born to Run Ultra Marathons take place the week of May 12–16, 2027 in Los Olivos, CA, organized by AllWeDoIsRun. Event capacity is limited to the first 300 registered participants and guests. Registration closes May 16, 2027. Race options include: - Born To Run Four Day 96 hour event - Born To Run Three Day 72 hour event - Born To Run 100 Mile event (finish within 48 hours) - Born To Run 30 Mile event - Born To Run 20 Mile event - Born To Run 10 Mile event The course is 100 percent dirt, composed of two one way 10 mile loops that meet at the center, allowing vehicle access every 10 miles.
Loop 1 is approximately +2100 ft gain and marked with pink ribbon. Loop 2 is approximately +1600 ft gain and marked with yellow ribbon. Turns and navigation use striped and blue ribbons; blue indicates wrong way.
Aid stations are placed at roughly every 5 miles and chip lap counting is used. Self crewing from a vehicle is allowed. Dogs are not permitted on course. Onsite camping, a souvenir shirt, a custom bib, and finisher awards are provided for most entries.
The four day format offers 100 mile and 200 mile buckles; awards are given to top male and top female competitors in specified divisions. Entry fees vary by event; a separate ranch fee of $10 per person per day is payable at check in in cash. Guest day passes are required for all visitors and cost $35 per day.
