Born to Run Ultra Marathons
Born to Run Ultra Marathons takes place in Los Olivos, CA from May 12 to May 16, 2027. The event is limited to the first 300 registered participants and guests. Organized by AllWeDoIsRun, it offers on‑site camping, marked trails, and aid stations approximately every 5 miles.
Multiple race formats are available:
- Four Day / 96 Hour option with 100 and 200 mile buckles
- Three Day / 72 Hour option with a 100 mile buckle
- 100 Mile event with a 48 hour cutoff
- 30 Mile event, three 10 mile loops
- 20 Mile event, two 10 mile loops
- 10 Mile event, one 10 mile loop
The course is 100% dirt using ranch roads and single track. The main layout uses two one‑way 10 mile loops that meet at a central point; Loop 1 is about +2100 ft gain and Loop 2 is about +1600 ft gain. Turn markings use colored ribbons and striped ribbons indicate turns; blue ribbon marks the wrong way. Vehicles can access the center point every 10 miles and self crewing from a vehicle is allowed. Chip lap counting is used for timed events. Pacers are not allowed on the 10, 20, and 30 mile events.
A ranch fee of $10 per person per day is payable in cash at check in. Guest day passes provide 24 hour ranch access and cost $35 per day. The organizer states no refunds, transfers, or deferrals and reserves the right to amend or cancel the event for safety or permitting reasons.
