Dusk to Dawn 6/12

The Dusk to Dawn 6/12 is a time-based ultra-running event held along the riverside near Glenelg. The course is situated a few hundred metres from the main hub of Glenelg and is accessible by public transport. The route features views of the river and nearby harbour, with a path lined by palm trees and a sandy beach nearby.

The event follows a circular course that is 2.56464 km in length. This loop is AIMS-certified and the event holds an IAU label. To vary the scenery and conditions, participants change running direction every 3 hours. Timing is managed through a chip system with mats and vertical antennas, supplemented by video recording for accuracy.

The available event formats include:

  • 6 hour
  • 12 hour

A single aid station is located at the start and finish area of the loop, meaning runners pass it approximately every 2.5 km. The station provides water, sports drinks, soft drinks, and various snacks such as lollies and food. First aid services and ice are also available at this location.

Bib collection takes place on the day of the event at the start location near the Glenelg Baseball Club, where parking is available. For participants who prefer clear communication, a simplified race briefing is offered in addition to the standard briefing. Every finisher receives a medal and a memento.
