Drummy Woods is a winter night running event on 27 December 2025 organised by Deeside Runners. The course distance is 6 km with around 100 m of climbing. Entry on the day is £1 and pre-registration is free; payment is made when numbers are collected. The minimum age for entry is 16. Runners are required to carry a good headtorch, full body cover, a map and a compass; a spare torch is recommended. The course will be marked with reflective flags. Sponsors named on the event page include Out & Back Store, Moonlight Mountain Gear and VJ Shoes, who are providing headtorch and footwear trials and series prizes.

Course and facilities

Registration and prize giving are at the Tarland Tearooms in Tarland Square. The cafe will be serving soup, teas and cakes. The race uses three loops of the mountain bike trails, starting at the trails car park, with a different descent on each loop.
