Bennachie Summer Series

The Bennachie Summer Series is a trail running event held at the base of Bennachie, featuring a 5k course on forest tracks with approximately 120 meters of elevation gain. The series takes place on the second Thursday of each month from June to September, with registration and race start at the Bennachie Visitor Centre. The course is marked, and facilities include toilets and limited water at the finish. The event follows Scottish Hill Runners guidelines, prohibits headphones and dogs, and requires appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Kirkhill 8 is an 8 hour timed trail at Kirkhill Forest where you repeat a scenic 4.3 mile loop as many times as you like, aiming for distances from 20 miles to 50 miles. Field limited to 100 with pre entry closing 30 April 2026.
