The Dragon trails Summer Edition takes place on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Pearsall Park in San Antonio, Texas (5000 Old Pearsall Rd, 78242). The event includes three trail races with separate entry fees: $100, $75, and $50 respectively.

Course and logistics

Courses use marked trail loops at Pearsall Park. The Great Dragon 25k is two loops with 778 feet of climb per loop (about 1,556 feet total). The 10k has about 675 feet of total climb. The 5k includes nearly 100 feet of climbing per kilometer. Aid stations supply water and Gatorade, with stations roughly one mile apart; the 10k has six aid stations and the 5k has three. A bag drop will be available at the finish area for items needed between loops.

Runners are officially timed by Best Race Timers IAAP. The 25k has an overall time limit of 4 hours 30 minutes; runners must finish the first loop within 2 hours 15 minutes to continue the second loop.

Awards and finish services

All finishers receive an event-specific medal or finisher tile, a race singlet, and a taco breakfast. Age-group awards are given from 19 and under through 70-plus in 10-year increments, with an event coin awarded to first place in each age group.
