DNF x FCF West Midlands Backyard Ultra

The West Midlands Backyard Ultra is a last runner standing event held at the private Far Coley Farm estate in Staffordshire on 29th May 2026. The event uses a fully marked loop of 4.167 miles (6.7km) on mixed trail and single track terrain. Runners start a new loop every hour and must complete each loop within the hour to continue; the event continues until only one runner remains.

The venue includes a festival style race village with a tipi, daytime DJ sets, food stalls and hot drinks, an athlete HQ called the Atcost Shed, and facilities such as toilets, lighting, water points, hot showers and parking. On site accommodation is limited to ten bedrooms and there is space for camping or car bases. The winner receives a trophy, a medal, a free night in a Far Coley Farm room and access to recovery facilities.

Each athlete may bring unlimited crew. Spectators and crew remain in designated village areas and have viewing access but not access to the loop. The course is fully marked and no pacers or support are allowed on the loop. Mandatory kit includes a head torch (mandatory 8pm to 4am), spare batteries or power bank, trail footwear, weather ready layers, refillable water bottle or hydration pack, nutrition, a charged mobile phone, hat and gloves.
