This is an Irish Mountain Running Association league event at Djouce Woods, Old Long Hill Road, County Wicklow. The long course is 12.20 km with 633 m of climb. A short/junior course of 4.65 km (listed elsewhere as 4.6 km) has 135 m of elevation gain. The route is fully marked and GPS use is allowed. The event is classified Difficulty 8 (2,3,3) - moderate terrain, over 500 m ascent and over 10 km.

Course and logistics

The long route has been changed from previous years because of storm damage and is described as slightly longer than before. The start location is on the fire road at the first V junction; the short/junior route follows the main course to Paddock Ponds then veers into woods and forested technical ground back to the finish. Registration on the night is required and all race chips must be scanned pre-race for accounting. Early starts are permitted for runners who expect to be about 160% of the winning time. Headphones are not allowed. Mandatory Level B kit must be carried and includes a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket or bivvy bag. Main parking is at the first Djouce Woods car park (grid ref 0213 131); parking may be tight and car pooling is recommended. Prize giving and a raffle will take place at Berto's Pizzeria.
