Wobbly Bridge Rathdrum : IMRA event

Wobbly Bridge Rathdrum takes place in Ballygannon Woods and Clara Vale nature reserve north of Rathdrum, County Wicklow, on Wednesday 24th June 2026. The main long route is 8.0 km with 180 m of climb. The event is rated Difficulty 4: easy terrain with less than 200 m ascent and a typical distance in the 6–10 km band. Race marking is limited to only major junctions and GPS is not allowed. Mandatory kit is Level A - a showerproof, windproof jacket; runners must be able to carry required kit if instructed. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. The event is part of the Trail League Leinster.

  • 2 km - Blue route from the bridge; shorter option for younger runners, newcomers, or those preferring a short course
  • 200 m / 300 m / 400 m - inclusive run/roll wheelchair accessible challenge; free to take part, no registration required

The start is located in a picnic area in Ballygannon Wood; registration is at The Lakehouse, Splash Valley (part of Hidden Valley resort). Registration is about a ten minute walk from the main start. The walk from registration to the Blue start is approximately 10 minutes and includes boardwalk, steps and some rough terrain. Parking at Splash Valley is limited due to construction; alternative parking is available in Ashford or at the Memorial Park in Rathdrum, and limited parking is available at the Ballygannon Woods start.
