Glendalough Tucker Trail

The Glendalough Tucker Trail is an 80 km mountain running event in the Glendalough Valley, County Wicklow, held on Saturday 20 June 2026. The route comprises three out-and-back loops run continuously as a single-stage race, with total ascent in the region of 3,000 m and a 12-hour completion limit. The course follows way-marked trails including St Kevin’s Way, the Spink and the Wicklow Way; trail signage is used for navigation and only major junctions may be additionally marked. GPS devices are allowed.

The start, finish and transition area are beside the Upper Lake car-park in the Glendalough Valley. Access from Laragh is via the R756, passing the Visitor Centre and Glendalough Hotel to the end of the road; the Upper Lake car-park charges a fee (noted as €4). Car pooling is recommended.

Entrants must be at least 18 years old on the day of the event and be members of IMRA for 2025. Race entry is available through myIMRA; there are no cash or on-the-day entries. Random kit checks may be carried out and failure to carry required items may result in denial of entry or disqualification.

Mandatory Level C kit includes a waterproof jacket with hood and taped seams, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, charged mobile phone, foil blanket or bivvy, waterproof full leg cover, means to carry at least 500 mL water, emergency food, map and compass. Tibradden is a Leinster League mountain run near Dublin offering a 9.90 km route with 365 m climb and a 4.50 km short course. Entry is limited to 250 and a Level B mandatory kit list applies.
