Event Details
The Glendalough Tucker Trail is an 80 km mountain run based on three 'out & back' loops, centered on the Glendalough Valley. The route uses way-marked trails, including St Kevin's Way, the Spink, and the Wicklow Way. The total climb is approximately 3,000 m. The event is a continuous single-stage race with a 12-hour time limit.
Route and Navigation
The course primarily follows existing trail signage. Additional markings may be added at the organiser's discretion, but the existing waymark posts are considered sufficient for navigation. GPS devices are permitted.
Mandatory Kit
Runners must bring specific mandatory kit, with the exact items to be carried finalized on the event day based on conditions. The list includes a waterproof jacket with hood, hat, gloves, whistle, charged mobile phone, foil blanket, waterproof leg cover, means to carry water, emergency food, a map, and a compass. Random kit checks may occur.
Registration and Participation
Entry is through the myIMRA system. Participants must be at least 18 years old on the entry day and be an IMRA member for the 2025 season. No cash entries or on-the-day registrations are accepted.
Location
The start, finish, and transition area is located beside the Upper Lake Car-park in the Glendalough Valley. There is a parking fee for the car park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
