Dirty Spokes Iron Hill 7.5 and 3.8 Mile Trail Run

Dirty Spokes Iron Hill is a trail running event at Red Top Mountain State Park in Cartersville, Georgia on April 4, 2026. It is part of the Dirty Spokes series and lists Automation Direct as presenting sponsor. Registration is open and the field is capped at 275 participants for reasons of parking availability and trail capacity.

The event offers two distance options:

  • 7.5 Miles
  • 3.8 Miles

The course begins in the Iron Hill Trail parking area and quickly moves into single and double track through the woods. Much of the route follows an old fire road bed. Course maps, GPS routes, and videos are provided for both distances. Packet pickup takes place the morning of the race in the parking lot. Georgia State Parks requires a $5 parking fee per car or acceptance of a yearly pass.

Entry fees vary by date. For the 7.5 mile race fees are $45 until March 21, $50 March 22 to April 2, and $55 on race day. For the 3.8 mile race fees are $40 until March 21, $45 March 22 to April 2, and $50 on race day. A tri blend shirt is planned, with no guarantee for late or race day registrants. Sizes are offered for men and women.

Medals and prizes are awarded to the overall top three male and female finishers and to masters winners. Top three finishers in each age group also receive medals; recipients must be present to collect awards. Walkers are welcome but must be able to complete the course at a 16 minute per mile pace or faster to receive an official time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
