The Dirty Duel is a trail race held at Robinette’s Trails / Robinette's Apple Haus & Winery in Grand Rapids, MI on Saturday, November 15, 2025. The field is limited to about 600 racers and runners start in multiple waves. Racers split off shortly after the start to follow one of two courses that run back to the finish.

The event is presented by Merrell and Gazelle Sports and organized by Michigan Adventure Racing.

Courses and race services

The event offers two course options:

  • 3.1 miles (5K)
  • 3.4 miles

Course features include a sand dune, a cornfield/maze, and off-trail sections. Finishers receive either a buff or a wooden medal. Race-day provisions include cider and donuts after the race. A race shirt is available for purchase but is optional. Organizers send one or more race updates by email in the weeks before the event.
