Dirty Duel Trail Race

The Dirty Duel Trail Race takes place at Robinette's Apple Haus & Winery in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Saturday, November 14, 2026. The event is organized as a trail race with an unusual format that lets racers choose between two courses on race day.

Up to 600 racers are expected and participants start in multiple waves to spread the field out. Racers split off shortly after the start and race back to the finish on one of two paths in a head-to-head style. Course features include a sand dune, a cornfield maze, and off-trail sections. All finishers receive either a buff or a wooden finisher medal, and cider and donuts are provided after the race. Race shirts are available for purchase but are optional. Online registration opens May 27, 2026. The event organizer is Michigan Adventure Racing.

Distances: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

  • 3.4 mile course described as the easier, faster option
  • 3.1 mile (5K) shorter course with off-trail and maze sections
