Riley Trails 13.1, 10K & Ruck Challenge

The Riley Trails event takes place at Riley Trails and Benjamin's Hope in Holland, MI. The 2026 edition is the ninth running of the event and the first year without a full marathon option, a change made to prioritize participant safety and the trails' condition.

Event distances include:

  • 13.1 mile half marathon
  • 13.1 RUCK
  • 10K
  • 10K RUCK

Aid support on the course is provided by Gazelle Sports, with a staffed aid station positioned approximately every four miles. The aid station offers pre-packaged snacks, drinks, and Skratch Labs hydration products; participants may also bring their own nutrition.

Rucking participants are encouraged to carry 10 to 20 pounds in a pack or vest, though there is no minimum weight requirement and weight is self-reported. All ruckers receive an Egress Endurance patch and a finisher's medal.

Packet pick-up is handled at Benjamin's Hope near the start and finish area on the day before and the morning of the event. Parking is available at Benjamin's Hope, 15468 Riley St, Holland, MI.

All event proceeds benefit the Egress Endurance Project, which supports people in recovery by promoting movement, structure, consistency, and community through endurance sport. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
