Location & Course
The run takes place within Shawnee Lookout park, which is situated at the southwest corner of Hamilton County. The park overlooks the confluence of the Great Miami and Ohio Rivers and is known for its historical sites and nature trails. The race course begins and ends at the Waterhole Meadow Shelter. It combines the two lollipop loops of the park's Blue Jacket (1.3-mile) and Little Turtle (2.0-mile) nature trails. The total course distance is approximately 3.44 miles (5.54 km). The route includes views of the river valley below.
Event Details
Registration is online only, with a standard fee of $23.50. Participants aged 14 and under receive a $5 discount. Online registration remains open through race day. There is no early packet pickup; check-in is available on race day from 7:30 AM to 8:45 AM. The event uses chip timing with disposable bib tags.
Awards are given based on age-graded results. Randomly drawn door prizes are also offered. A park pass may be required for entry; daily passes are available. The park features picnic areas, a playground, and boat access to the Great Miami River.
