West Side, Best Side 5K Trail Run

The West Side, Best Side 5K Trail Run is the final event of the Dirt Days Trail Series, held at Shawnee Lookout Hamilton County Park in North Bend, Ohio. The park is situated at the Southwest corner of Hamilton County, positioned above the confluence of the Great Miami and Ohio Rivers. This location is recognized for its Native American archaeological earthworks and historical structures, including a log cabin and the Spring house School.

The course is approximately 5.54 km (3.44 miles) long. It begins and ends at the Waterhole Meadow Shelter and consists of two lollipop loops. The route combines the 2.0-mile Little Turtle nature trail and the 1.3-mile Blue Jacket nature trail. Participants encounter views of the surrounding river valleys throughout the run.

Registration for this event is conducted exclusively online, with options available for single event entry or a full season pass for the series. Participants aged 14 and under are eligible for a registration discount. The event utilizes chip timing via disposable bib tags.
