Dingneng Wang : Marathon in San Diego

This event is a marathon-style run held on Sunday, May 3, 2026 in San Diego, CA. The start and finish are at Canyonside Park Driveway, San Diego, CA 92126. The route is the former PQ & GZ Trail Marathon course and has been renamed in memory of Dingneng Wang.

The organizer describes the event as not a race. There is no official support, no course marking, and no aid stations. Participants are responsible for their own navigation and supplies; crewing and pacing by companions are permitted. There is no official timing. To have an official result recorded, participants must register for free, complete the full course on the specified date, and submit their time with proof after the run.

The course runs clockwise. A GPX file and a mapped course are provided by the organizer. Around mile 11 the route passes the Torrey Pine North Parking Lot, where there are restrooms and water fountains. Basic driving directions note entry from Black Mountain Road onto Canyonside Park Driveway, continuing straight to the end of the ball fields and then turning right into a mixed paved and dirt parking area.
