Windfall Full Moon Trail Run
The Windfall Full Moon Trail Run is a nighttime trail event organized by Epic Recess on 08/28/26 at Windfall Ranch, 21800 Japatul Valley Rd, Alpine, CA. The event uses private trails that are open for the event only.
Courses are marked with reflectors and reflective markers and consist of mostly single track trails with ups, downs, and some technical footing that can be more difficult in low light. The marked options are:
- 5k
- 10k
- 15k (10k plus 5k)
- 30k (double loop option)
All participants are required to carry a headlamp or flashlight for safety. Aid stations will be reflective and stocked with fluids, fruits, and snacks; post-run water and sodas will be available. Tech T-shirts are included with registration and completion goodies will be handed out at the finish line. Division awards will be given for all distances.
On-site camping is available in the ranch’s large open fields and opens in the afternoon on race day. Camping is free. Porta-potties and water will be provided. Dogs must be leashed at all times because ranch dogs roam the property.
