Event

The Noble Canyon races take place in Pine Valley, California, on September 5, 2026, with start and finish at 8631 Pine Creek Road. The event is USATF-sanctioned and runs on National Forest land under a special permit. Distances offered:

  • 50K
  • 15K

Registration opens May 1, 2026. On-site parking is available and is directed by race staff.

Course, aid and support

Both courses follow the Noble Canyon Trail system in the Cleveland National Forest. The 50K is an out-and-back mountain course with significant elevation gain, rocky climbs, exposed ridgelines, fast descents, pine forest sections, granite-studded slopes, and canyon switchbacks with views of the Laguna Mountains. The 15K covers a shorter portion of similar terrain.

Multiple volunteer-staffed aid stations provide hydration, electrolytes, and fueling options; volunteers also support highway crossings, supply shuttling, course marking, and safety. A race photographer will capture on-course photos; each participant receives one free photo or a discount on purchases. Weather can vary between heat in lower canyons and cooler, breezy conditions at higher elevations, so runners should be prepared for a range of conditions.
