About the race
Devil's Shadow Winter Trail Races takes place on February 6, 2027 at Mendon Ponds Park with race headquarters at Hopkins Point Lodge. The event uses an approximately 5.1 mile loop that starts and finishes at the lodge, avoids most larger hills and road crossings, and may be modified for trail or weather conditions. As participants complete loops they return to Hopkins Point Lodge, which serves as the main aid station and a place for post-loop warmth.

- 25k
- 50k
Registration fees are listed as $25 for the 5 mile and $40 for the 25k and 50k, each plus $3.50 in UltraSignup fees. There are no price increases and same-day registration is available. The 5 mile has been rebranded for 2027 and will include post-race ice cream by the fire.
The aid station at Hopkins Point Lodge will offer hot apple cider, Skratch Hydration (hot and cold), water, soda, Gu Energy gels, veggie broth, pierogi, quesadillas, candy, fruit, pickles and salty snacks. Additional supplies as runners finish may include soup from Nathan's Soup & Salad, Amazing Grains salt bread, beer from Peacemaker Brewing, and hot chocolate, tea, and coffee. Parking is available in the area surrounding the lodge.
Devil's Shadow is the third race in the Common Ground Winter Trail Series, produced in collaboration with FarFetched Enterprises, Goose Adventure Racing, and Doody Runs. Series registrants receive free entry into Go Forth!, series swag, and entry into a random draw for membership in the FarFetched Mug Club, which includes a 24 fl oz mug by Wizard of Clay.
