Devauden Races

The Devauden Races is an annual, entirely off-road event that starts and finishes at Hood Memorial Hall in Devauden, on the northern edge of Chepstow Park Woods. The routes run on the trails of Chepstow Park Woods and include races for adults and children.

The event raises funds for SARA, the Severn Area Rescue Association, which provides local search and rescue support. Entry fees and availability vary by distance. Spaces are limited and on-the-day registration is not guaranteed.

Distances and junior ages include:

  • 10k
  • 5k
  • 2.4k, open to entrants aged 8 and over
  • 60m junior dash, for young children, small donation requested on the day

Age eligibility for the longer races is restricted: the 10k and 5k are open to entrants aged 15 and over, the 2.4k is open to entrants aged 8 and over, and the 60m dash is for children aged between 3 and 10. The event records for the 10k are listed historically. Pricing for entry ranges across the events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
