Race for Life Pretty Muddy Cardiff

Cardiff Pretty Muddy 5k

The Cardiff Pretty Muddy 5k is an obstacle course event held at Coopers Field - Bute Park in Cathays, Cardiff. The start and finish are on grass and the route uses a mixture of tarmacked paths and grassy fields. Because of the venue, sections of the course can become boggy after periods of heavy rain. A course map is available but may be subject to change.

Participants start in staggered waves every 15 minutes. The event is organised by Cancer Research UK. Entry pricing listed for earlybird tickets includes adult and child categories, and a minimum fundraising target is set for participants. Participants must be at least 13 years old; separate Pretty Muddy Kids events are available for children aged 12 and under.

On-site facilities include refreshments and toilets. The event is not wheelchair accessible; the start and finish areas are mostly flat and firm but can become soft in wet weather. General car parking is not available at the venue. Limited blue badge parking is available along North Road and within Sophia Gardens car park, at approximately 500 m and 750 m from the site respectively. Drop-off points are possible nearby. There are no bike racks and no volunteer parking onsite.

Registered participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal on completion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
