Race for Life Pretty Muddy Cardiff : Coopers Field, Bute Park

Pretty Muddy is a 5k obstacle course where participants climb, crawl and slide over a mixture of tarmaced paths and grassy fields. The start and finish are both on grass. The course may become boggy in periods of severely wet weather.

The event takes place at Coopers Field - Bute Park, Off North Road, Cathays, Cardiff, CF10 3ER. The start line is on the north side of Coopers Field, opposite Orachard Lawns. The finish line is on the south side, opposite the Gorsedd Stone Circle. A what3words location is provided for the starting point.

Waves start every 15 minutes to manage safety on the course. Marshals are present to assist with obstacles. Participants must be 13 years or older to take part; separate Pretty Muddy Kids events are available for younger children. The event contributes to Cancer Research UK fundraising for cancer research.

Facilities listed as available include refreshments and toilets. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users and is not suitable for pushchairs. Dogs are not allowed. There is no bag drop, no showers and no cycle racks. General event parking is not available at the venue; nearby drop-off points and limited blue badge spaces are noted by the organiser.
