Dechmont Law Trail Race

Dechmont Law Trail Races, Dechmont Law Park, Livingston - 14 June 2026

Lothian Running Club stages the Dechmont Law Trail Races at Dechmont Law Park in Livingston on 14 June 2026. The festival includes adult and junior trail races over several distances and is held on woodland trails with firm paths and short tarmac sections.

• 10 km trail race incorporating the Scottish Athletics East District Trail Championships
• 6.5 km trail race on the long loop past the Alien Stone to North Wood
• 2.5 km junior race following a loop around Dechmont Law

The course is undulating and mainly on firm paths. The 10 km combines a short loop and the long loop; the 6.5 km uses the long loop; the junior race is a single shorter loop. The route will be waymarked, marshalled and supported by a tail runner. Dogs and pushchairs are not permitted. A 1 hour 45 minute cut off applies to the 10 km.

All races start and finish in the same area at Dechmont Law Park. Local parking is available on the non double yellow line side of Royston Road, EH54 8AH; parking is not available at Deans High School. It is approximately a 15 minute walk from Royston Road and from Livingston North train station to the race area. Portaloos and an unsupervised baggage tent will be provided.

Races are chip timed by Keep it Simple Timing and every finisher receives a medal. Prizes and trophies for top finishers are planned and may be subject to entry numbers.
