Dashing Through the Snow 5K

Dashing Through the Snow is a trail 5K at Imerman Memorial Park in Saginaw, Michigan on December 13, 2026. The event distance is 5K Run/Walk/Ruck and registration is limited to 350 participants. Proceeds will benefit the Barb Smith Suicide Resource and Response Network.

The event is USATF sanctioned, professionally managed, and timed with online results. Custom finisher medals and event t-shirts are provided to participants; t-shirt sizes are guaranteed only for registrations completed before midnight on Sunday, December 6. Packet pickup and late registration take place December 13 from 9 AM to 11 AM at Bayne’s Apple Valley, 5395 Midland Rd, Freeland MI, approximately three miles from the park.

The course is a 1.5 mile loop completed twice. The trail is described as firmly packed, winds through woods and along the Tittabawassee River, and is mostly flat with a few small inclines. The trail will be ungroomed and will not be plowed if snow arrives. A water station will be located near pavilion 4 and will be passed twice during the race.

Awards are given to the overall top three male and female finishers and to top masters (40+) male and female finishers; first, second, and third overall receive entry discounts for the next year. Dogs are not allowed to participate except for service animals. Warm cider will be available at the race site. Results will be posted within 48 hours of race completion.
