Dartmoor Discovery Ultra Marathon
The Dartmoor Discovery (DD) is organised by Teignbridge Trotters Running Club and is scheduled for 06/06/2026 at Princetown Community Centre, PL20 6RF. The event is a single-lap road ultramarathon of 32 miles that takes runners up and down parts of Dartmoor. The organisers state it is the longest single lap road ultra marathon in the UK and the course holds a course accuracy certificate and an Association of Running Clubs race permit (No. ARC/26/0077).
The race has a field limit of 275 entries and has sold out in 11 of the previous 13 years. There is a 6 3/4 hour race cut-off time. Personal drinks can be left at nine of the ten drink stations along the course.

Entry fees vary by date and affiliation: early bird (1 Nov - 30 Nov) £40 affiliated / £42 unaffiliated; 1 Dec - 31 Jan £45 / £47; 1 Feb - 29 Feb £50 / £52; 1 Mar - 31 Mar £55 / £57; 1 Apr - 6 Jun £60 / £62; on-the-day (if available) £65 / £67. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and a technical t-shirt; there is free food at the finish, a bag store, PA system, free race photos, a bar and an after-race disco.
Prize payments include £200 for a new male or female course record and £25 for new veteran category course records. Prizes are awarded to top finishers, veteran category placings, newcomer winners and team results. Accommodation options listed by the organisers include 16 motorhome pitches at Princetown Community Centre (£10 per night) and camping, motorhome pitches and a bunkhouse at the Plume of Feathers with toilet and shower facilities and a special price of £10 per person per night when booked in advance.
