Cross Cut Trail Race at Bridger Bowl
The event takes place on June 27 at Bridger Bowl Ski Area in Bozeman, MT and includes two trail races:
- 20K trail race
- 5 Mile junior trail race
The 20K course is mostly technical single track with some tall grass sections. The race uses chip timing, includes a custom race shirt, and provides a catered lunch and drink. There are three cupless aid stations on course; participants must provide their own cup or hydration system. The 20K has a four hour cut off time and is not recommended for walkers or hikers. Prizes and raffle awards will be offered, and awards are distributed to top male and female categories.
The junior 5 Mile event is a two loop course starting from the base of Bridger Bowl. The course surfaces include single track and primitive road and accumulate approximately 1,000 feet of elevation. The junior race includes chip timing, a catered lunch and drink, and prizes and awards.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Bozeman Running Company from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with race morning pickup at the Jim Bridger Lodge from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM. Parking is available at the Jim Bridger Lodge. The races are cupless and participants are asked to pack out trash, stay on designated trails, and avoid cutting switchbacks.
