Bangtail Divide 38K

The Bangtail Divide 38K is a point-to-point trail race held on Saturday July 4, 2026. The course follows the Bangtail Divide Trail (Trail 504) and runs from Stone Creek to Brackett Creek. This is the 14th running of the event.

Registration is limited to 150 participants, is offered on a first come first serve basis, and the entry fee is $75. The race is open to ages 13 to 99. The event is designated as cupless.

Packet pickup takes place at Bozeman Running Company, 132 East Main Street, on Friday July 3. There is no packet pickup on race day; participants who do not pick up their packet on Friday will not be able to participate.

All participants are required to use the shuttle between the Crosscut Mountain Sports Center parking area and the race start and finish; there are no exceptions. The Forest Service does not allow runner parking at the start or finish. Spectators and family members may park at the finish line parking area.

Awards are given to the top three overall men and women, plus the first Master finisher (age 45+) for each gender; awards are not duplicated across categories.
