The Croagh Patrick Uphill is a mountain running event in County Mayo. It takes place on Friday 12th June, 2026. The race is part of the inaugural Connaught Weekend.

Course Information

The route covers a 3.80 km distance with 770 m of ascent. It is part of the Irish Uphill League. The terrain is easy, and the course is marked only at major junctions. The use of GPS devices is not allowed.

Mandatory Kit

All runners must bring the following items to the race:

  • Waterproof jacket
  • Hat or buff
  • Gloves
  • Whistle
  • Charged mobile phone with emergency number stored
  • Foil blanket, bivvy bag or equivalent

The specific kit to be carried during the race will be decided on the day based on conditions and announced at registration. Runners must have a means to carry all required kit. Random kit checks may be performed, and failure to have the required items can lead to denied entry or disqualification.

Online entry opens on Monday 8th June 2026 at 21:00. Entry closes on Thursday 11th June 2026 at 18:00. The entry fee is €7 for seniors and €5 for over 65s and under 18s.
