The Cowdray Winter Night Run takes place on Saturday 6th December 2025 at Cowdray Park, Midhurst (Race HQ: The Walled Garden, Riverground Stables, GU29 9AL). The event is part of the Run The Seasons series and is the third winter night edition. Head torches are mandatory for all participants. Options include a dog-friendly canicross course and children’s races: a 3 km kids run for ages 6-11 and a 5 km junior run for ages 12-15. A 10% discount is offered for entering all three junior or kids races on the same order.

Course, parking and logistics

The routes run through parkland and around the River Rother, with the route passing the illuminated Cowdray Ruins and returning to the Walled Garden and heritage site. The majority of the course is on bridleways and footpaths, with some private estate tracks accessible only on race day. The course is generally flat with a couple of gradual climbs. The route will be marked and marshalled using reflective signs, glow sticks and support from Sussex Search & Rescue. GPX/OS maps are available for the 5 km and 10 km routes. Entry fees listed are: 5 km £19.50, 5 km canicross £21.50, 10 km £25.50, 10 km canicross £27.50. Race numbers can be collected on the day. Parking options include North Street (GU29 9DS), Grange Road (GU29 9LT) and limited parking at Cowdray Farm Shop; some parking requires a short walk of about 0.5 mile (approx. 15 minutes).
