Corn to Creek is a trail running event held in Wilderness Park in Lincoln, NE, offering two distances:
- 25K
- 10K
The 25K is a single, flowy, non-repetitive loop that traverses a large portion of the park. The 10K begins with a unique 2.5 mile start loop, then follows a cloverleaf pattern that includes a 1.85 mile out-and-back section shared with the 25K. Surface composition is roughly 10 to 15 percent crushed limestone and 85 to 90 percent dirt singletrack. Parts of the course include fallen leaves, roots, rocks, and a few short, punchy hills. Overall elevation gain is small, about 100 feet for the 10K and about 200 feet for the 25K.
The event provides a start and finish area with restrooms. The 25K has three aid stations, one with restrooms about halfway, plus a water drop between the last aid and the finish. The 10K uses the start and finish area as its mid-course aid station. There are no cutoffs.
Registration details in the organizer notes include a cap of 200 runners across both distances with a waitlist after that, a price split initially set at $55 and $40 with prices increasing in early November, and optional race shirts offered at cost (about $10).
