Cool Moon 100 Mile Endurance Run - June 13–14, 2026
The Cool Moon 100 Mile Endurance Run takes place near Cool, California, with the start and finish at the Cool Staging Area (7200 Saint Florian Court, Cool, CA 95614). The event uses live runner tracking via UltraLive and timing chips for all athletes.
The course is made of two distinct loops run in sequence: runners complete the 13.5-mile North loop followed by the 11.5-mile South loop, repeating each loop four times to total 100 miles. The terrain includes single track and fire roads; the North loop has approximately 2200 feet of elevation and the South loop about 1150 feet. Total elevation gain and loss for the 100 miles is approximately 13,600 feet. The course is described as well-marked.
Aid stations are located along both loops, with a mix of full service stations and water-only locations. Notable aid points include The Ranch, Knickerbocker, Top of Dam Switchbacks (water only), Pilot Hill (water only), and Catecroft. The Cool Staging Area functions as the main start/finish aid location.
Pacers may join runners only after completion of the third loop (mile 38.5). Crews are restricted to the Cool Staging Area and may provide aid after each loop. Drop bags are allowed at Cool and Knickerbocker with collection on race morning. Packet pickup is available at the Cool Staging Area the day before and on race morning.
Finishers who complete the 100 miles within the 37-hour limit receive a one-of-a-kind silver buckle from Comstock Heritage, plus a shirt and finisher medal. Top three overall male and female finishers receive custom award plaques. Runners who miss the specified cutoffs at mile 88.5 or mile 100 will be recorded as DNF.
