Cool Moon 100 Mile Endurance Run (June 13–14, 2026)

The Cool Moon 100 Mile event is a looped trail ultramarathon held near Cool, California. Runners complete four laps of a 13.5 mile north loop and four laps of an 11.5 mile south loop in alternating order to total 100 miles. The course uses single track and fire roads and is described as thoroughly marked.

Distances:

• 13.5 mile North loop
• 11.5 mile South loop

The approximate elevation for each loop is 2200 feet for the north loop and 1150 feet for the south loop, with a total elevation gain and loss for the 100 miles of about 13,600 feet. Aid stations are positioned on each loop with a mix of full stations and water-only stations at specified miles; the start/finish area serves as a full aid station. Live runner tracking is provided through UltraLive with timing chips used for all athletes.

Race support rules include allowing pacers only after the third loop (mile 38.5) and restricting crews to the Cool Staging Area at the start/finish. Drop bags are permitted only at Cool and Knickerbocker with a designated morning drop-off window. Packet pickup is offered the day before and on race morning at the start/finish area. Finishers receive a Comstock Heritage finisher buckle, shirt, and medal; top three overall male and female finishers receive custom plaques.
