Course and format

The race starts and finishes in a vacant lot on Eagle Bluff Road at the rear of the Eagle Gas and Food Market (3070 Appalachian Hwy). The route heads toward the mountain, turns onto a gravel road with a series of switchbacks, and follows a trail to the top of Eagle Bluff where participants turn around and return to the finish. The course length is just over 4 miles and includes approximately 930 feet of elevation gain.

Organizer and purpose

The event is presented by the Campbell County High School Relief Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization. The fund raises and accepts money for the benefit of Campbell County High School students and awards scholarships each spring.
