Colorado 24 Hour Run

The Colorado 24 Hour Run takes place on the Colorado Youth Outdoors Swift Ponds Campus in Fort Collins, Colorado. The event is held on a 1.0002 mile dirt loop that is U.S.A.T.F. certified and sanctioned. The course is entirely flat, with virtually no elevation gain or loss, and consists of a 100% dirt road surface. Participants run in a specific direction that reverses every six hours throughout the event.

The registration cap is set at 300 participants. Runners can choose between individual entries or relay teams of up to six members for the following durations:

  • 24 Hours
  • 12 Hours
  • 6 Hours

The event provides a full-service hot food aid station at the start and finish pavilion, which runners pass every mile. The aid station offers a variety of supplies including water, electrolyte drinks, gels, fruit, salty snacks, and hot meals such as burgers, grilled sandwiches, and soup. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are standard offerings.

A heated lodge is available approximately 0.2 miles from the course for runners and crews needing a break. Additionally, a designated area near the start and finish allows participants to set up personal aid stations using popup-style canopies. Only full laps are counted toward the final total, with the exception of runners pursuing specific national records who may request a partial lap measurement.
