American Heroes Run

American Heroes Run is a commemorative running event held September 11-12, 2026 in Longmont, CO at 220 Hover Street. The event is staged on a 1.05 mile loop course described as flat and fast. The format includes both timed races and distance events, plus a virtual option.

Distances and formats include:

• 100 miles
• 24 hour run
• 9 hour 11 minute run
• Six hour run
• Marathon
• Half marathon
• 9.11 mile run
• 5K
• Virtual any distance

The 100 mile race has a 30 hour cutoff. A fully stocked aid station is located near the start and finish area and bathrooms are nearby. For overnight races, participants may custom-order hot food items that are cooked and ready when they complete their next lap; examples listed include quesadillas (vegan and non-vegan), potatoes, mashed potatoes, and ramen.

Every participant receives a high quality race shirt, a special AHR dogtag, and other event items. Finishers receive a unique event coin and finisher award, and 100 mile finishers receive a belt buckle. Virtual participants receive a shirt, certificate, and awards with overseas shipping available for an extra fee. Registration closes Saturday, September 12 at 11:59 PM MT.
