Westminster Trail Race
The Westminster Trail Race takes place at Standley Lake in Westminster, Colorado on Saturday, August 15, 2026. The event offers multiple trail distances that use packed dirt trails, single-track sections, and portions of bike path around the lake and nearby open space.
Distances available:
- 50KM - approximately 31 miles
- 35KM - 21.9 miles
- Half Marathon - 13 miles
- 10 KM - 6.2 miles
- 5KM - 3.3 miles
Courses are run on dirt terrain and include out-and-back and Y out-and-back formats. Elevation gain varies by distance, with the 50KM showing 2,358 feet of total gain and the 35KM showing 1,650 feet. Aid stations and drop bag access are provided; drop bags are available at the start/finish area and runners are advised to use weatherproof bags. Crews may access the start/finish area for several distances. Pacers are not allowed for the 35KM, half marathon, 10K and 5K events. Parking is available at Wayne Carle Middle School, which serves as the start/finish location.
