Event Overview

Climb It For Climate is a trail running event taking place at Belleayre Mountain in the Catskill Mountains. The event features two race distances: a 25K and an 8K. There is also an early start hiking option for the 25K distance.

Race Distances and Course

Participants can choose between two courses:

  • 25K: Approximately 15 miles with 5000 feet of elevation gain and descent.
  • 8K: Approximately 5 miles with 1400 feet of elevation gain and descent.

The event is described as a mountain run, and the courses are noted as not final and subject to change. The event is cupless, so runners must bring their own hydration pack.

Weekend Activities

The event weekend includes additional activities. A pre-race dinner is available for purchase. There is also a scheduled shakeout run and bib pickup on the Saturday before the race.

Awards and Charity

Awards are given to the top male, female, and non-binary finishers. All finishers receive a pin. The event collects donations for The Catskill Center. It is also designated as a zero carbon event, with a portion of registration fees allocated to offset carbon emissions.

Additional Information
