Squatchywaska Mountainfest takes place April 25, 2026, at Berme Road Park in Ellenville, New York. The event offers two marked mountain trail courses on the Shawangunk Ridge with route maps and GPX files provided.

Distances

• 25K (closer to 17 miles), about 2,500 ft elevation gain
• 10 Miler, about 1,800 ft elevation gain

Both events use a lollipop course and have a six-hour cutoff. The 25K requires roughly a 21-minute per mile pace to finish within the cutoff; the 10 Miler requires roughly a 36-minute per mile pace. The terrain is technical with rocks, roots, steep climbs, descents, cliffs, and some crushed gravel carriage roads. The course is marked with neon pink ribbons and large red directional arrows.

There are two on-course aid stations (Smiley and Maratanza) offering water, Skratch hydration, and snacks; aid stations are not crew-accessible. All participants must carry a charged phone, a water bottle or hydration pack, at least 300 extra calories, a whistle, and a GPX course map on a device. Recommended items include poles, external battery pack, headlamp, and wipes.

Capacity is capped at 150 participants; the race sold out quickly and a waitlist is maintained. Charity bibs bypass the waitlist if the participant raises or donates $500 to Run Wild, Inc. by April 23. Dogs are not allowed at the venue.
