Manitou’s Revenge
Maplecrest, United States • 20 Jun 2026
Event overview
Manitou’s Revenge is a 53-mile ultramarathon in the Catskill Mountains that begins in Windham, New York. The route starts on the northern Black Dome Trail and follows the Long Path from Acra Point to downtown Phoenicia. The organizer describes the course as grueling, with approximately 15,000 ft of climbing and much rocky, precipitous terrain. Some sections are runnable, but many require hiking and occasional hand-over-hand travel. The course becomes progressively more difficult as it proceeds, and parts may be run in darkness.
