Manitou’s Revenge
Maplecrest, United States • 20 Jun 2026
Event overview
Manitou’s Revenge takes place on June 20, 2026, in Windham, New York. The event is a 53 miles ultramarathon that begins on the northern Black Dome Trail and follows the Long Path from Acra Point to downtown Phoenicia. The course runs through the Catskill Mountains.
Course and logistics
The course includes approximately 15,000 ft of climbing. Much of the terrain is rocky and precipitous, with some runnable sections but frequent steep hikes and occasional hand-over-hand scrambling. The route becomes progressively more difficult as it continues, and the average runner may encounter the hardest terrain in darkness. Aid stations are limited; runners may need to travel up to 3 to 4 hours between them and should be reasonably self-sufficient.
Registration and refunds
Registration opens February 1, 2026, initially only for past finishers; general registration opens February 22, 2026. Early registrants are placed on a temporary waitlist and will receive an invitation to complete registration once qualification is confirmed. Registrations submitted between February 1 and February 21 by non-finishers will be removed from the waitlist without notification. Refunds, minus the UltraSignup fee, are available until May 1; refunds are available at any time for pregnancy or postpartum needs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
