Plattekill Mountain Race - June 7, 2026

The Plattekill Mountain Race takes place in Roxbury, NY and returns for its fourth edition. The event includes a longer mountain race and a separately scored 5k that uses trails and ski slopes on Plattekill Mountain. The course routing moves up, down and around the ski slopes and surrounding trails.

Distances

  • 6.5-mile mountain race, 3500 ft elevation gain.
  • 5k on gravel trail with 1000 ft gain in first 1.25 miles.

The mountain race covers 6.5 miles with substantial elevation gain distributed across trails and ski slope terrain. The 5k begins on the same gravel approach used by the mountain race, climbs roughly 1000 ft in the opening 1.25 miles, traverses across the mountain offering elevated views, then finishes with about 1.25 miles of downhill running.

Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each race. Additional prizes and finisher swag are noted as forthcoming. Course maps exist for both the mountain race and the 5k, and sponsors are expected to be announced. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
