Event Overview
The Plattekill Mountain Race returns for its fifth edition on June 6, 2027. Held at the Plattekill Mountain ski resort in Roxbury, New York, the event features courses that traverse the slopes, gravel trails, and mountain paths. Participants navigate a landscape characterized by significant elevation changes and views across the mountain terrain.
Course Details
Participants can choose between two distinct distances:
- Mountain Race: A 6.5-mile course featuring 3,500 feet of elevation gain.
- 5k: A shorter distance that includes 1,000 feet of gain within the first 1.25 miles.
The 5k course follows a gravel trail for the initial ascent before traversing across the mountain. The final 1.25 miles of this route consist of a downhill section leading to the finish line. The Mountain Race distance utilizes the ski slopes and various trails throughout the venue to achieve its total elevation profile.
